Mr. Giorgi Mgebrishvili, the Minister of Internal Affairs, along with the deputies and the heads of the emergency services visited the “112” Department on the occasion of the 112 – International Day of European Emergency Number.
European countries, including Georgia, celebrate February 11 as the 112 Day.
The Minister of Internal Affairs and the guests visited the Emergency Management Call Center and got familiarized with the specific work of the operators and the Department’s future plans. The new social project of the 112 “One Day as an Operator of the 112 was presented on the same day. Within the frames of the project, the celebrities will answer the citizens’ calls to the 112 Call Center during one day. Project aims to give the opportunity to the individuals of various professions to render assistance to the citizens and realize how important is the timely assistance in the emergency situation.
