LEPL of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia – Public Safety Command Center “112” awarded the title of “Hero of 112” to 4 adolescents. The juveniles called the emergency number in time to save other people’s lives in the most difficult and crucial moments.
Elene Tselauri, 6 years old – Elene called 112 to help her mother who was feeling bad and was loosing consciousness. Elene was at home with her younger sisters. The girl explained the address to the operator with full accuracy and asked for an ambulance.
Luka Butskhrikidze, 13 years old – Luka called from Rustavi to help his grandmother who was feeling unwell due to high blood pressure. It is noteworthy that Luke measured his grandmother’s blood pressure on his own, then called 112, explained the address to the operator with full accuracy and asked for an emergency aid.
Mariam Urushadze, 14 – Mariam called 112 to help a completely unknown woman. According to her, a woman fell in the bus and hit her head. Mariam called 112 for an ambulance and did not leave the woman alone until the brigade arrived.
Vakhtang Gilauri, 10 years old – Vakhtang called 112 to help his grandfather. He first provided the operator with complete information about the address and also noted that his grandfather had just had heart surgery and was feeling unwell.
The project “Hero of 112” has been implemented since 2016. Within the project, every year all the adolescents who have shown high civic responsibility and know well how to behave in emergency situations, are awarded.
