Beginning from today General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has launched hot line number -126. Each citizen will be able to report to the General Inspection hot line on any violations perpetrated by the police officers. Hot line “126” will operate in round-the-clock regime.
MIA General Inspection reveals and makes relevant reactions on violations of ethics, norms of discipline, inappropriate fulfillment of duties and illegal actions committed by the police employees.
Priorities of the General Inspection include: revealing violation of citizens’ constitutional rights, their freedoms and interests by the police officers, revealing, suppression and prevention as well as making relevant reaction on service delinquency and other violations; conducting of service inspection and operative-searching activities on the cases of violations committed by police officers.
General Inspection acts independently and is accountable before the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
