The 112 Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been nominated for Best Operator / Dispatcher by the European Emergency Number Association (EENA) at the 2014 112 Awards Ceremony. Georgia was selected as the best candidate for the nomination, along with Poland, by the EENA Advisory Board, in which 44 member countries of the association participated.
The voting procedure by the member states of the Association is underway until October 13, 2013, after which the final winner will be announced among the nominated candidates.
112 Annual Award Ceremony on April 2, 2014 in Poland. Will be held in Warsaw. The European Emergency Number Association will award citizens of different countries, dispatchers and emergency management centers for outstanding achievements.
Representation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia “112” became an official and full member of EENA on September 3, 2013.
The European Emergency Number Association (EENA) is an international non-governmental organization established in 1999 in Brussels. The aim of the Association is to introduce a unified emergency number throughout Europe – “112” and the effective work of emergency management services and to promote the development of high quality emergency services for them.
EENA brings together 850 European emergency workers, 9 international associations, 130 MEPs and 50 researchers
