The 112 Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received calls without delay in order to respond immediately to all the incidents caused by the deteriorating weather in Georgia.

 “112” received 36,464 calls regarding problems caused by bad weather during the past day and night. Out of this, 6106 cases were created and emergency service crews were immediately dispatched for emergency assistance. The remaining calls were of a consultative nature.

During this period, 429 cases were registered throughout Georgia and 190 cases throughout Tbilisi. In particular, in Adjara – 37, in Guria – 7, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 9, Imereti – 264, Racha-Lechkhumi -5, Shida Kartli – 39. Samtskhe-Javakheti – 32, Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 11, Kvemo Kartli – 9, and In Kakheti – 16 cases were reported.

As a result of bad weather, several people were injured and some kind of material damage was inflicted on the population.

“112” will promptly receive calls and dispatch the relevant service brigades in order to provide timely assistance to the population of Georgia.
