On March 27, 2014, students of the Civic Club, organized by the Georgian Association of Educational Initiatives, visited the 112 Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The students of Rustavi 4 and Marneuli three public schools, ninth-eleventh grade visited the Emergency Management Center.
About 40 high school students got acquainted with the work process of the operators and dispatchers of “112” on the spot and all the questions of interest to them were answered.
The members of the Civic Club became aware of the tightened legislative changes during the implementation of false and unreasonable calls and also received information about the financial and administrative sanctions imposed in case of this violation.
The teenagers also received information about the anti-drug campaign of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the slogan “Let’s change attitudes together!”. The aim of the mentioned campaign is to Prevention of bio-drug use and informing the population. Representatives of “112” explained in detail the symptoms that may follow the use of this drug for adolescents, and noted the need to call 112 in time to detect similar symptoms.
The visit to “112” turned out to be interesting and informative for the members of the Civic Club. The students mentioned that they were always interested in the specifics of the operation of the center and the working mode of the operators.
At the end of the visit, the members of the Civic Club were given memorable gifts from “112”.
