Representatives of the 112 Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia participated in the annual conference of the European Emergency Number Association (EENA) in Poland. Within the framework of the conference, Georgia “112” was one of the speaker countries.
At the annual conference, the Georgian delegation made a presentation entitled “Modern Design of the Operational Management Center”. During the presentation, the conference participants received information about the specifics of the work of “112” in Georgia, the arrangement of a modern call center, the equipment needed for effective work and the work program – ERC.
At the end of the conference, an award ceremony was held where specific individuals and countries who were actively involved in improving the services of the Single European Number 112 were awarded special prizes.
The purpose of participating in the conference is for the participants to share their country practice and experience on the work process, system arrangement and other important issues. It is important to involve the Georgian side in the annual conference, as the experience gained will help 112 to find effective and operational assistance to its citizens.
The European Emergency Number Association (EENA) is an international non-governmental organization established in 1999 in Brussels. The aim of the Association is to introduce a unified emergency number – 112 throughout Europe and to promote the efficient operation of emergency management services. Georgia “112” has been a member of EENA since September 3, 2013.
