Agostino Mitso, Executive Director of the European External Action Service’s Crisis Response Unit, visited the MIA Emergency Management Center “112”. The guest was met by the director of “112” Giorgi Bichashvili.
The members of the delegation visited the Emergency Management Center, got acquainted with the specifics of the work of the unified emergency number and positively assessed the work of “112”.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the planned changes made by “112”. Issues of cooperation with the EU Department for Crisis Management and Operational Coordination were discussed. They also spoke about the crucial role of the EU Department for Crisis Management and Operational Coordination in security policy, which ensures monitoring of the world and information on the current situation 24 hours a day.
At the end of the visit, the director of “112” Giorgi Bichashvili handed over commemorative gifts to the members of the delegation.
