Remigius Baniulis, Director of the Fire and Rescue Department of the Lithuanian Ministry of Internal Affairs visited the 112 Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

 The director of “112” Giorgi Bichashvili showed the guests the emergency management center and introduced the specifics of the work of the call center. The representatives of “112” informed the members of the delegation in the form of a presentation about the changes made in the center during the last two years and future plans.

The director of the Lithuanian Fire and Rescue Department was interested in the work of the unified electronic system “112” – ERC (Emergency Response Center). Remigius Baniulis noted that the programmatic reflection of the call with both the operator and the dispatcher makes the work process more efficient and they will share Georgia’s experience in this regard.

Zviad Katsashvili, Director of the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Lithuania together with Mindugas Mikutavicius, Head of the Fire and Rescue Council of the city of Tauraga, attended the meeting.

At the end of the visit, the director of “112” handed over commemorative gifts to the members of the delegation.
