112 Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs held a media conference for media representatives in Kachreti. More than 20 representatives of TV, radio, internet and print media took part in the mediation.
The purpose of the 112 mediation was to provide journalists with maximum information about the functioning of the emergency number unit and to get acquainted with the completed, current or future projects from the 112 representatives.
The media discussed all issues of interest to journalists, introduced the specifics of the work of “112”, the statistics of 2013-2014, received detailed information on what measures were taken to increase the awareness of the emergency number and offer better services to citizens. They also found out what changes were made in the law and in what terms the punishment was tightened in case of making an untargeted call.
Representatives of “112” held presentations for two days on topical issues for the Center and media representatives received comprehensive answers to their questions.
“112” plans to hold a similar media conference for representatives of various media outlets in the future.
