Within the framework of the information and awareness campaign of the Ministry of Internal Affairs – “Befriend the Police”, another final public event was held in Kutaisi, on the square named after Davit Aghmashenebeli. As part of the campaign, informational meetings with students will continue until the end of the year.
Various educational and entertainment activities were held in the central square of Kutaisi. The event was attended by Vazha Siradze, Director of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Vasil Petriashvili, Head of the Imereti Main Division of the Patrol Police Department, Zaza Tshkakaia, Director of the Police Department of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, Teimuraz Mghebrishvili – Head of Emergency Management Service, State Respresentative of Imereti – Zviad Shalamberidze, representatives of local self-government, as well as heads of units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As part of the campaign, for two months, public events were held in different regions throughout the country, which were visited by thousands of people, including adolescents.
All the guests who came to the event held in Kutaisi had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the aforementioned units in the spaces presented by the Public Safety Command Center “112”, the Service Agency, the Emergency Management Service, the Patrol Police, the Border Police, the Forensic-Criminalistics department, the Security Police and the Special Tasks department. They could also see the special equipment during the activity. The children who came to the event had the opportunity to participate in various cognitive and entertaining activities with the representatives of the Ministry.
Within the framework of the campaign, in parallel with public events, about 50 visits of representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were carried out to various schools throughout the country. Informational meetings with students will continue until the end of the year. The purpose of the meetings is to raise awareness among children and adolescents about the activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, public safety and order.
