Within the framework of the information and awareness campaign of the Ministry of Internal Affairs – “Befriend the Police”, meetings in schools of the regions continue. This time, the representatives of the Ministry held meetings with students in public schools N1 and N2 in Racha, Ambrolauri. The goal of informational meetings is to raise awareness among children and adolescents about public safety and order, as well as prevention of crimes committed by and against minors.
Employees of the Patrol Police, Criminal Police, Public Safety Command Center “112”, Emergency Management Service, and the Human Rights Protection and Investigation Quality Monitoring Department provided the adolescents with information on various topics that are necessary and relevant to them regarding public order, including children’s rights, early marriage and about its harm, bullying, violence as well as organized crime. At the meetings, the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs presented to the children a video depicting the activities of various structural units.
The meetings were held in question-answer mode. The law enforcement officers answered the students’ questions.
Within the framework of the informational and awareness campaign of the Ministry of Internal Affairs – “Befriend the Police”, public events in the regions have ended, and informational and cognitive meetings in schools continue and will be held in various schools across the country, step by step.
