The delegation of Uzbekistan paid a study visit to the Public Security Command Center “112” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Emergency Management Service.
The purpose of the visit was to share Georgia’s experience on the implementation of an early warning system, in particular, the introduction of an integrated climate risk management approach, and promotion of risk reduction and prevention through the use of climate information.
The representatives of the delegation got acquainted in detail with the structure and specifics of the activities of the Public Security Command Center “112” and the Emergency Management Service.
The study visit of the representatives of the Uzbekistan project – “Expansion of early warning systems in Uzbekistan” – was carried out within the framework of the United Nations Development Program – “Reducing the risk of disasters caused by climate change in Georgia”, which is carried out with the support of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and the governments of Georgia, Sweden, and Switzerland.
