Permanent Representatives to the UN visited 112 Tbilisi Center.
Ambassadors were made familiar with the emergency response and management in Georgia, as well as uninterrupted video surveillance systems throughout the country and important steps taken towards ensuring road safety.
Within the frames of the visit guests were familiarized with the call handling process. 112 call takers demonstrated how calls from different communication channels are being handled by 112 call takers, including SMS and video call service for deaf and hard-of-hearing citizens. 112 has specially designated call takers who can communicate with the people with hearing impairments using sign language. Moreover, Ambassadors were made familiar with the Mobile Application 112 Georgia, which is capable of determining the location of the user, only if user opts to do so when sending SOS alarm, chatting with the call taker or calling from the application.
