On March, 2019 event was organized to mark “Georgia without Tobacco” day. Event was attended by the representatives of 112 and Patrol Police Department.
 
Representative of 112 informed guests about the service offered by 112 and discussed the Mobile Application, which can determine the location of the user. Using 112 Mobile Application, citizens can simply notify 112 call taker using chat feature.
 
It is notable that organizers also presented the new addition to the named application. In the Useful Information section, soon new component will be added – “Tobacco Control”. This section will inform any user about Law on Tobacco Control, what to do if one witnesses violation of the mentioned law, negative impacts of tobacco on the health and a guide on how to quit smoking.
 
The evert was jointly organized by the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Healthcare and Social Affairs Committee of Parliament of Georgia and National Center of Disease Control.
 
This year’s “Georgia without Tobacco” main topic is “Georgia without Tobacco Smoke”.
