Emergency Response Center 112 under Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia hosted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland – Justin McKenzie Smith.
Within the frames of the visit Ambassador was informed about the emergency management and operation of 112, as well as implemented and planned projects. Representatives of 112 familiarized the guest with the specific features of call handling and processing. Parties discussed mutually interesting issues and agreed to further deepen cooperation. In addition, parties discussed the information campaigns aiming at reducing the number of non-emergency, false calls, including social campaign “Let’s Reduce Non-Emergency Calls”. Justin McKenzie Smith expressed willingness to participate in the mentioned campaign.
