With the aim of strengthening road safety, from December 21, 2020, 19 speed control sections started operating at 19 locations in Adjara, Kakheti, Mtskheta-Mtianeti and Tbilisi.

As a result, a total of 1152 km of road throughout Georgia will be controlled by a sectional speed control system.
