19 Speed Control Sections Started Operating in Adjara, Kakheti, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Tbilisi

With the aim of strengthening road safety, from December 21, 2020, 19 speed control sections started operating at 19 locations in Adjara, Kakheti, Mtskheta-Mtianeti and Tbilisi.

1. From the intersection of Lekh and Maria Kachinski and Zgvis Piri streets, Batumi to the intersection of Lekh and Maria Kachinski and Sherif Khimshiashvili streets, Batumi. Allowed speed 60km/h.
2. From the intersection of Lekh and Maria Kachinski and Sherif Khimshiashvili streets, Batumi to the intersection of Lekh and Maria Kachinski and Zgvis Piri streets, Batumi. Allowed speed 60km/h.
3. From the intersection of Baku and Shavsheti streets,Batumi, to the intersection of Tamar Mepe and Tbeti streets, Batumi. Allowed speed 60km/h.
4. From 32^nd kilometer of Akhmeta-Telavi-Bakurtsikhe highway (towards Gurjaani to 35^th kilometer of Akhmeta-Telavi-Bakurtsikhe highway (village Tsinandali, towards Gurjaani). Allowed speed 60km/h.
5. From 35^th kilometer of Akhmeta-Telavi-Bakurtsikhe highway (village Tsinandali, towards Telavi) to 332^nd kilometer of Akhmeta-Telavi-Bakurtsikhe highway (towards Telavi). Allowed speed 60km/h.
6. From 35^th kilometer of Akhmeta-Telavi-Bakurtsikhe highway (village Tsinandali, towards Gurjaani) to 42^nd kilometer of Akhmeta-Telavi-Bakurtsikhe highway (village Akura, towards Gurjaani). Allowed speed 50km/h.
7. From 42^nd kilometer of Akhmeta-Telavi-Bakurtsikhe highway (village Akura, towards Telavi) to 35^th kilometer of Akhmeta-Telavi-Bakurtsikhe highway (village Tsinandali, towards Telavi). Allowed speed 50km/h.
8. From 15^th kilometer of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi highway (Bazaleti turn, towards Stepantsminda) to 19^th kilometer of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi highway (Dusheti turn, towards Stepantsminda). Allowed speed 80km/h.
9. From 19^th kilometer of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi highway (Dusheti turn, towards Tbilisi) to 25^th kilometer of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi highway (Bazaleti turn, towards Tbilisi). Allowed speed 80km/h.
10. From 25^th kilometer of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi highway (Shatili turn, towards Tbilisi) to 19^th kilometer of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi highway (Dusheti turn, towards Tbilisi). Allowed speed 80km/h.
11. From the intersection of Beri Gabriel Salosi and Shalva Dolidze streets, Tbilisi to 40 Beri Gabriel Salosi street. Allowed speed 40km/h.
12. From 40 Beri Gabriel Salosi street, Tbilisi to the intersection of Beri Gabriel Salosi and Shalva Dolidze streets. Allowed speed 40km/h.
13. From the intersection of Saingilo and Gumbari streets, Tbilisi to the intersection of Saingilo and Martkopi streets. Allowed speed 40km/h.
14. From the intersection of Saingilo and Martkopi streets, Tbilisi to the intersection of Saingilo and Gumbari streets. Allowed speed 40km/h.
15. From the intersection of Niabi and Abuli streets, Tbilisi, to the intersection of Niabi and Saingilo streets. Allowed speed 40km/h.
16. From the intersection of Niabi and Saingilo streets, Tbilisi, to the intersection of Niabi and Abuli streets. Allowed speed 40km/h.
17. From the intersection of Queen Ketevan Avenue and V. Chachava streets, Tbilisi, to the intersection of Queen Ketevan Avenue and T. Abuseridze streets. Allowed speed 50km/h.
18. From the intersection of Queen Ketevan Avenue and T. Abuseridze streets to the intersection of Queen Ketevan Avenue and V. Chachava streets. Allowed speed 50km/h.

As a result, a total of 1152 km of road throughout Georgia will be controlled by a sectional speed control system.
