The Emergency Management Center “112” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has a new head. Nika Gelashvili was appointed to this position. The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Levan Kakava, personally introduced the new head to the staff of “112”.

Lt. Col. Nika Gelashvili was the Director of the Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs from January 30 to December 15 of this year. From September 9, 2016 to January 30, 2017, he held the position of Head of the Samtskhe-Javakheti Main Division of the Patrol Police Department. In 2013-2016, Nika Gelashvili was the Head of the First Division of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Main Division of the Patrol Police Department, and in 2013 he was the Deputy Head of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Division of the Patrol Police Department. From 2009 to 2012 he worked as a patrol inspector of the Fourth Division of the Kvemo Kartli Division of the Patrol Police Department (Border-Migration Control “Red Bridge”). Nika Gelashvili graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Economics and Business in 2008.
