The Ministry of Internal Affairs, within the framework of the Road safety campaign – “For Your Sake, For Your Safety”, hosted citizens in a safe city – “This is my city” in Batumi, near the Alphabet Tower.
Equipment, weapons and equipment belonging to different units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were presented in the simulated city. In addition to the exhibition, Batumi residents, tourists and foreign tourists from different regions of Georgia received many surprises:
The guests in the safe city were guided by the animated hero “Poly” presented by the MIA Academy. Citizens who came to the virtual shooting range of the academy had the opportunity, with the help of an instructor, to adjust to the role of a police officer for a few minutes.
The Forensic Department has introduced a specially trained dog and a mobile laboratory, which is connected to dactyloscopic and habitoscopic databases by wireless connection and is equipped with various types of examination equipment, which allows for a preliminary hot-spot examination at the scene.
The Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has organized a cognitive-entertaining corner for teenagers, where the staff of the Agency conducted a fun theoretical and practical test for children aged 5 to 10 to obtain a bicycle driving license. Visitors to the simulated city also had the opportunity to view the racing cars of the MIA Force Sports Club MIA Force and a photo exhibition presented by the Service Agency. Data Kajaia, the face of the road safety program of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Data Kajaia, the European champion in racing cars, talked to them about the road safety campaign of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In the fun cognitive-entertaining corner of the Emergency Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the children inspected the fire-rescue equipment and slid on an inflatable skateboard. Their safety was taken care of by the fire-rescuers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In the “112 spacecraft” of the “112” department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the teenagers took part in computer games created especially for them, using modern technologies.
Batumi teenagers also joined the event. Students of Zakaria Paliashvili and Revaz Laghidze Music Schools in Batumi performed works of different genres on different instruments, and the students of the school-lyceum “Master Class” created drawings on the topic of road safety.
The MIA Security Police Department provided the children with exciting adventure games, symbolic gifts and surprises. The security police placed special vehicles for collection and operative response on the “protected street”, as well as ecological transport.
The patrol police presented the patrol police transport: “Ford-Interceptor”, patrol pickups, motorcycles and “Segway” in the exhibition space.
The Border Police organized an exhibition of transport and equipment of the Land Border and Coast Guard Departments.
Special equipment and combat armor were placed in the exhibition space of the Special Assignments Department: “Cobra”, “Wolf”, “Defender”.
The borders of the simulated city were guarded by MIA Border Police officers and specially trained dogs, while patrol inspectors took care of the safety and order of the guests.
Within the framework of the road safety campaign, the Ministry of Internal Affairs presented Batumi with a voluminous lighting structure – “I love Batumi”, which depicts a heart assembled with traffic signs. The construction was located on Batumi Boulevard.
