On September 26-28, 2014, a three-day seminar, “Innovation and Creativity to Help People with Disabilities” was held, which was attended directly by speech and hearing impaired people.

The mentioned creative thinking seminar was attended by civil society organizations, information technology specialists and representatives of 112 people with disabilities. The seminar was led by international experts invited by UNDP.

Participants underwent specific simulation tasks, played through the entire emergency process, from the time the call was made to the time the assistance was found, and created a prototype, a new 112 service acceptable to them. The training highlighted the specific needs that 112 persons with disabilities need to address in order to be able to connect independently with the center.

The workshop was part of the UNDP Global Campaign – Innovation Week SHIFT, with the support of the Danish Government. SHIFT is a global company that promotes the development and introduction of innovation, worldwide.
