The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is hosting a delegation of the Police of the Republic of Armenia within the framework of bilateral cooperation. The format of the meeting of the regional police chiefs of the border regions of the two countries was expanded this year. Gagik Avetisyan, Head of the Main Division of Criminal Investigation, and Alexander Arabian, Deputy Head of the International Relations Division of the Headquarters are hosted by Ivane Papiashvili, Director of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, and Shalva Kvinikhidze, Head of the International Relations Department.

Levan Kvitsiani, Head of the Kvemo Kartli Regional Main Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Teimuraz Kalandadze, Head of the Samtskhe-Javakheti Regional Main Division, met with their Armenian counterparts. They talked about ways to resolve them and deepen relations in the field of law enforcement. The parties also discussed the development of cross-border organized crime, drug crime, trafficking, cybercrime mechanisms, deepening future cooperation and intensifying bilateral cooperation in the field of search.

The delegation of the Republic of Armenia visited LEPL “112”. The guests got acquainted with the specifics of the work of the Emergency Management Center and the coordination mechanism of the center with various agencies. The members of the delegation were also hosted by the Old Tbilisi Division of the Tbilisi Main Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where they were introduced to the successfully implemented reforms and planned projects in the Ministry.
