A public event was held in Borjomi Central Park within the framework of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ informative campaign – “Befriend the Police”.
Giorgi Bukhrashvili, director of the Samtskhe-Javakheti police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Temur Mghebrishvili, director of the Emergency Management Service, Otar Arbolishvili, mayor of Borjomi municipality, and heads of various units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs attended the event.
Within the framework of the “Befriend the Police” campaign, various entertainment and educational activities were held in Borjomi.
All the guests who came to the event had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the activities of the the Public Safety Command Center “112”, the Service Agency, the Emergency Management Service, the Patrol Police, the Border Police, the Forensic-Criminalistics Department, the Security Police and the Special Tasks Department in the spaces represented by the mentioned units. The guests also had a chance to see the special equipment.
The children who came to the event had the chance to participate in various cognitive and entertaining activities with the representatives of the Ministry.
As part of the campaign, the visits of the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs units to schools continue. Information-cognitive meetings are held with students, the purpose of which is to raise awareness among children and adolescents about the activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, public safety, as well as law and order.
