Nika Gelashvili, Director of Emergency Response Center “112” under Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, together with the Deputy Director of 112 – Maya Giorgadze, attended the EENA annual conference. Conference took place in the Capital City of Slovenia – Ljubljana.
Georgia was represented as one of the speaker countries. Deputy Director of 112, Maya Giorgadze presented “Optimizing Medical Crew Dispatching with the Help of Artificial Intelligence” project. Within the frames of the project, special software will be elaborated, which, based on the received call, will determine the risk and severity of the incident, need of hospitalization, presumable delay of crew arrival and will provide effective dispatching. As a result of the introducing mentioned software, Medical crew response time will reduce and quality of provided services will increase.
Significant part of the conference was dedicated to reviewing existing challenges in the emergency assistance in different countries and sharing recommendations.
International NGO EENA (European Emergency Number Association) was founded in 1999 in Brussels. Association aims to introduce single emergency number 112 throughout Europe and to support effective functioning of emergency response centers. Georgia has been official and full-fledged member of EENA since September 3, 2013.
