Public Safety Command Center 112 conducted informational meeting at Georgian-American High School. 112 Call-Taker informed students about what qualifies as an emergency, what number should be dialed during emergencies and how to cooperate with the call-taker. Students were also made familiar with the threats and sanctions related to making false calls.
Above mentioned meeting was conducted within the frames of the celebration of 112 Day. In 2009, February 11th was declared as 112 Day by European Commission, European Parliament and European Council. February 11th is marked as 112 Day in more than 80 countries worldwide, including the EU member states.
