Representatives of the 112 Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia were in New York, USA, at the official invitation.
During the visit, members of the 112 delegation visited the 911 Call Center in New York, the Emergency Management Agency (OEM), the Fire / Rescue Department (FDNY), and the Northwell Health Center (EMS). Work processes were introduced on the spot.
Representatives of Georgian 112 were able to get acquainted with the specifics of the work of dispatchers / operators on the spot at the 911 call center in New York City. They also observed the process of receiving calls and processing messages.
During the visit, 112 representatives discussed with the US side issues related to emergencies: prioritizing and locating the case, effectively managing emergency resources, the results of false and misplaced calls, and developing sanctions.
The Emergency Assistance Center of the LEPL “112” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is an analogue of the call center of the US “911”.
