On December 12, students from eight public schools in Rustavi, members of the Civic Club, visited the 112 Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs organized by the Georgian Association of Educational Initiatives.
The children visited the Emergency Management Center, observed the work process and received answers to their questions from the representatives of “112”.
The visit to “112” turned out to be quite impressive for the members of the Civic Club. The children mentioned that they were always interested in how the center works and in what mode the operators have to work.
These measures are aimed at raising the civic culture of adolescents, raising the awareness of the unified number of emergency services operating in Georgia and familiarizing them with the rules of conduct in emergency situations.
Sika is a Georgian Association of Educational Initiatives, which has been operating in Georgia and abroad since 1999. Using non-formal education, the association promotes the development of critical and creative thinking, as well as the introduction of innovative and proven forms of learning in order to develop an active and development-oriented citizen.
At the end of the visit, the members of the Civic Club were given souvenirs.
