On September 9, 2015, members of the interagency delegation of the Republic of Colombia visited the 112 Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
During the visit, the members of the delegation got acquainted with the activities of the Emergency Management Center in Georgia and received detailed information on the functioning of the unified emergency number 112 in the country.
The guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with the specifics of the work of the 112 operators on the spot, to observe the process of receiving calls and processing messages.
At the end of the visit, the leadership of 112 handed over commemorative gifts to each member of the delegation.
The delegation included representatives from six different agencies: the Colombian Ministry of Information Technology and Communications, the Security and Emergency Agency 123, the Revenue and Customs Service, the Civil Registry Office, the Notary and Registry Office, and the Public Registry.
The purpose of the visit of the delegation of the Republic of Colombia is to share the experience of Georgian colleagues and to get acquainted with the structural reforms carried out in recent years, which have established successful practices in the field of e-government, reducing bureaucracy and developing public services.
