Within the framework of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ informative and awareness campaign – “Befriend the Police”, meetings were held throughout Georgia, in Batumi, Zugdidi, Kutaisi, Gori, Rustavi and Telavi schools.

The goal of informational and cognitive meetings is to raise awareness among children and adolescents about public safety and public order.

The employees of the Public Safety Command Center “112”, the Patrol Police, the Criminal Police, the Emergency Management Service and the Human Rights Protection and Investigation Quality Monitoring Department provided adolescents with information on various topics that are necessary and relevant to them regarding public order, including children’s rights, early marriage and about its harm, bullying, violence and organized crime.


The representative of the Public Safety Command Center “112” provided the teenagers with information on when to call 112 and how to cooperate with the operator.

In parallel with meetings in schools, public events were held in the regions within the framework of the information and awareness campaign of the Ministry of Internal Affairs – “Befriend the Police”.
