Within the frames of the Awareness Raising Week, call takers of the Emergency Response Center 112 conducted interactive lessons for the students of the First Classical Gymnasium of Tbilisi and Private School “Lampari”.
Call takers informed attendees about the operation of 112, which is the primary point of contact between the people in emergencies and relevant crews. 112 PSAPs operate 24/7 and cover the whole country. Call takers also discussed when and how to call 112. Students were informed about the sanctions they may face in case of making false call to 112.
February 11 was declared as 112 Day back in 2009 by the decision of European Council. Events dedicated to 112 Day are conducted throughout Europe on annual basis. The aim of the events is awareness raising about 112.
