Deputy Minister of Interior – Giorgi Butkhuzi and the Director of 112 – Giorgi Arsoshvili hosted the Regional Director for Europe at the World Health Organization Hans Kluge and the Acting Minister of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia – Ekaterine Tikaradze at Public Safety Command Center 112.

The meeting was also attended by the First Deputy Minister of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia – Tamar Gabunia.

Guests were made familiar with the operation of 112 and the business process which precedes the emergency assistance. Furthermore, guests were informed about the additional tasks 112 assigned to as part of the endeavors for eliminating the pandemic.

Public Safety Command Center 112 is actively engaged in the Covid-19 management process. 112 operates with increased workload to ensure timely and high-quality assistance to the citizens of Georgia.

Mr. Kluge positively assessed the operation of and the activities undertaken by 112 for efficient management of Covid-19.
