On November 6-7, 2014, a Romanian expert, Marius Rousseau, visited the Emergency Management Center – 112. The purpose of the working visit was to provide consultations to the staff of the 112 Information Technology Service, as well as the 112 Connectivity Project for people with disabilities through text messages and video calls.
The parties discussed the software issues required for the implementation of the video call, exchanged views on the existing technical infrastructure and discussed ways to avoid challenges and risks that are important for the successful implementation of the project.
112 Introduces an alternative channel to call center for people with disabilities (deaf and hard of hearing). This includes connecting to 112 short text messages and video calls.
The above project is implemented by the Emergency Management Center – 112 in cooperation with UNDP Georgia.
