112 is the single emergency number operating since 2012 with the aim of creating efficient system of emergency assistance and response

112 is an entity under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia 

112 receives emergency calls 24/7 throughout the whole country and passes information on to:

  • Police
  • Fire/Rescue Teams
  • Emergency Medical Crews

112 is an emergency command center, which receives information about emergencies from the population via single emergency number 112. Any situation that requires the assistance of Police, Ambulance and/or Fire/Rescue teams, is considered as emergency. 

112 connects callers with the emergency services. 112 call-taker receives information, processes and passes it on to the relevant emergency services

112 can be reached by any person residing on the Georgian territory:

  • Any part of Georgia
  • 24/7
  • Fixed and cell phones
  • Cell phones without SIM cards
  • Without index and city code
  • From fixed phone with negative balance
  • From cell phone with negative balance


Remember!
In order to place call on 112, phone must be in the mobile operator coverage area (Magticom, GeoCell or Beeline)

Deaf and hard-of-hearing citizens can independently call 112 and report about the incident. 112 offers video call service as well as text messages features for people with disabilities. Mentioned services are available 24/7 throughout the whole country

112 is a dedicated single emergency number for emergencies, when person’s live, well-being and private and public property is under threat. Any situation that requires the assistance of Police, Ambulance and/or Fire/Rescue teams, is considered as emergency.

In order to determine whether the situation is an emergency or not, answer the following question: is the immediate arrival of the emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) vital? If you responded “yes” to this question, then you should call 112 and provide the call-taker with all the necessary information

Call 112 in situations including but not limited to:

  • Fire
  • Person losing consciousness 
  • Person has a serious injury
  • Person is bleeding
  • You have witnessed attempt of suicide
  • You have witnessed suicide
  • You have witnessed vehicle collision 
  • You have witnessed robbery
  • You have witnessed violence 
  • You have identified a wanted person
  • You have witnessed drug use
  • You have noticed a suspicious package/item
  • You have witnessed explosion

According to the Resolution #660 of the Government of Georgia of December 30, 2019, the service fee of the Public Safety Command Center “112” was set at 40 tetri.

Every mobile network subscriber that has spent over GEL5 per month on mobile network services, will be charged the 112 fees. 

Families living below the poverty threshold, with rating scores not exceeding 70,000 are exempt from this fee.

Yes, 112 call-takers can handle calls in English, Azerbaijani, Armenian, Turkish and Russian languages.
